Robotics Test Engineer

Your mission
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our fast-moving robotics development team. You will play a critical role in research and development stage whilst ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our indoor inspection drones by designing, executing, and automating tests for newly developed features. Your work will directly support our engineering team by identifying issues early, building testing infrastructure, and validating the system under real-world and edge-case conditions.
  • Design and execute functional, performance, and stress tests for new software and hardware features.
  • Develop and maintain automated and manual test procedures and tools for robotics team.
  • In collaboration with other team mates build and manage test environments and experimental setups that simulate real-world use cases.
  • Find and use new environments for testing onsite and offsite.
  • Work closely with software, hardware, and flight engineers to understand feature requirements and potential failure modes.
  • Document test plans, results, and issues clearly and systematically.
  • Identify, reproduce, and communicate bugs and edge-case failures to the robotics team.
  • Contribute to improving test coverage, efficiency, and overall product robustness.
  • Assist with flight testing and data collection during field trials.
Your profile
  • Experience of few years in system-level testing, in robotics, drones, or embedded systems.
  • University or Higher education diploma in Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automating tests and data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with setting up hardware/software test setups, including sensors, mechanical rigs, or simulation environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative development environments.
  • Bonus: Experience with ROS, Gazebo, or drone simulation frameworks.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking systems.
  • Detail oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in English is required, and French is an advantage.
